The board members and volunteers of Safina do not receive any financial compensation or salary. Every donation is directed solely toward fulfilling Safina’s mission. We are audited annually by a reputable auditing firm and maintain strict financial controls to ensure transparency and accountability.

Use of Donations
All donations are used exclusively for the purpose for which they are given. If there is any surplus after meeting a project’s needs, the remaining amount is added to our general fund unless otherwise specified by the donor.
We issue official receipts for all donations, whether in-kind (food, clothing, or other physical items) or cash contributions made through our bank account.
To maintain financial transparency and accountability, we do not accept cash donations in person, at our campus, or through any individual staff member. All monetary donations should be made directly to our official bank account.
Unauthorised Donation Collections
On a number of occasions, people have collected donations in our name without our permission. Please only ever donate through our official bank account, and let us know if anyone approaches you claiming to raise money on our behalf.
